Kangal Shepherd Dog history and origins
Ancient livestock guardian breed originating from the Kangal district in the Sivas province of Turkey. For centuries used by shepherds to protect flocks from wolves, bears, and jackals. Considered a national treasure in Turkey and valued for strength, loyalty, and independence.
