Medium to large, athletic spotted cat with wild appearance but fully domestic genetics. Muscular and graceful.
Developed accidentally in 1964 when breeding Siamese with Abyssinian produced spotted kittens resembling wild ocelots. No wild cat genetics despite appearance. CFA recognized in 1986.
Typically 4-6.8 kg and 30-38 cm at the shoulder — published as one range rather than separately for males and females.
Generally described as active, agile, curious, demanding, friendly, gentle, lively, playful and social.
