Serbian Hound history and origins
Ancient Balkan scenthound believed descended from Phoenician hounds, developed in Serbia for hunting hare, fox, and wild boar in mountainous terrain. First standard dates to 1924, formerly known as the Balkan Hound, recognized by FCI

Males typically weigh 20-25 kg and stand 46-56 cm at the shoulder; females 18-22 kg and 44-54 cm.
