What is a Colombian Fino Hound?
A medium-sized Colombian scenthound of noble appearance with athletic build, characterized by long ears, a sad expression, short smooth coat, and exceptional scenting abilities. Known in its native country as the Sabueso Fino Colombiano.
Colombian Fino Hound history and origins
Traditional Colombian scent hound descended from European and North American scenthounds brought to Colombia, adapted over centuries to local terrain and climate. Developed by rural hunters for tenacity and scenting skills from local and Spanish scent hounds. Officially recognized in Colombia in early 2000s and received provisional FCI recognition in 2014.

Males typically stand 40-50 cm at the shoulder and females 38-48 cm.
