Large, cuddly cat with plush coat and sweet expression. Related to Ragdoll but with more coat colors and patterns allowed.
Developed from Ragdoll outcrosses in the 1990s when some breeders split from Ragdoll breeding programs. Allows wider range of colors and patterns than Ragdoll. CFA recognized in 2003.
Typically 6.8-9.1 kg and 30-41 cm at the shoulder — published as one range rather than separately for males and females.
Generally described as affectionate, friendly, gentle, calm, sweet and patient.

Ragamuffin is named on VGL's PKD1 breed list. An autosomal dominant mutation causes fluid-filled kidney cysts that enlarge over time and can progress to kidney failure.
